Father’s Day Weekend

I was fortunate enough to be around some of my favorite people this past weekend. We had a large group down at the beach house in Wrightsville–Olivia’s parents, my brother Rhett and his girlfriend Logan, Logan’s parents, my cousin Garrett and my uncle Kip, and of course my mom and dad. It was a full house for two fantastic family meals, both to celebrate father’s day and a belated Rhett’s birthday. This year around was a little bittersweet as I lost my granddad (my mom’s father) three weeks ago this Wednesday. A loving father himself, it was great to have so many good friends and family together to remember his life and celebrate him–exactly like he would have wanted.

I was able to crank out three videos from this past weekend; however, one would end up being blocked by YouTube’s copyright claim system. That was a bit disappointing as that was my favorite cut of the three, but I’m definitely still learning here. The weekend was filled with boat rides, cookouts, beach games, and a whole lot of quality family time. It was a great way to celebrate all the dad’s in our life, in particular the one who was no longer with us.

Hopefully I won’t be overloading you all with beach videos, but between the 4th of July approaching and more family coming down, the majority of my next content will be beach related. Sorry in advance for that, but you have to agree some of these images of the boat and sunsets I’ve captured thus far have been sweet. So I shouldn’t be complaining! Until the next update.
