A new dimension has been unlocked. We are now airborne here at TR Travels. Last week, I received my new GoPro Hero8 action cam and DJI Mavic Mini drone. Pretty pleased with my decision. Check out the recap vid from my first weekend w/ the gear:
I’m going to keep this post short as I would like to have some more time to play around with both items and formulate a better opinion. But I will tell you this–I am having a blast thus far and I have so many more places running through my mind that I can wait to shoot from above. In terms of most anticipated–the beach house/boat will definitely look unreal from the sky. We are planning a trip down the weekend of the 19th (with Olivia’s family) so that will be a great test of each camera’s capabilities.
Funny enough, shortly after seeing a good friend’s drone in person, the straw that broke the camels back was a random boat with a drone following along from above. The drone was being flown by a kid from the stern, and it looked super sweet. This was about three weeks back, and the second I saw that, I knew I needed one in my life. I have great self-control.
As mentioned, just gonna keep this post short. I have plenty more learning and experimenting to do, and I feel like I need a bit more time to give each product an accurate review. Until then!
